After Arrival (Kaitlynn)

Sam had only just arrived at the university, he had been given a dorm under the Zeus Wing and a class timetable which starts tomorrow. Everything had been happening very fast he wondered if this was all a dream and he was merely sleeping but it felt real and it hurt if he pinched himself. After looking around the university for a bit Sam had gotten his bearings pretty well and he hadn’t gotten in trouble yet so things were looking up for him well he hopped so anyways. Sam had discovered that there were many people like him and he heard that he had a half brother somewhere here as well so he would have to go see the guy.

Sam had decided to go for a walk at the beach to get away from things everything was getting a bit too much for him and being the son of Zeus didn’t help that much people suspected more from those of the big three. Sam of course wasn’t complaining he just wanted to have some time to get used to this place but then again he probably wouldn’t get used to this place. Walking up to the beach he smiled, the beach look fantastic. Kicking of his shoes and socks Sam made his way through the sand, he loved the feeling of sand through his toes.

Kaitlynn was, unsurprisingly, bored with this school. At least, bored of her dorm. There was only so much you can do with the fastest internet, but it was just a bit too fast, and now there was nothing even to do on the internet! There was only so many times she could IM one person, and it was bound to get boring. It was such a different sight to be bored of the Hermes wing of the university. But, as usual, nothing amused Kaitlynn these days. She, naturally of course, blamed a bunch of stuff. The weather, the attitudes of other students, etc. etc. Blaming was bad, she knew, but she just couldn't very well help it. It was just that... it was so easy to blame. With them so... there.

So the only solution Kaitlynn could come to was leaving. At least, for a little while. There was a nearby beach, nice. She had never found a use to go there, not even in her free time. Now, well, now was the perfect excuse. Thank you so much. It was sate her thirst for something exciting, something to do. And, maybe she could get some alone time. But she was a bit scared. It wasn't exactly her first time out of the walls of the university, but, well, she wasn't very well as safe as she was there. It was safe in Atheneta. However... she wanted excitement, right? She might get some. Or she might now. There was only one way to find out, anyways. To go, to visit.

The walk was not too far away, thank goodness, but it was enough to get her feet aching when she got there. Thank god this beach was known for its soft sand that melted stress away. Though, she did not have stress, just boredom. Which she still had no idea how to get rid of, and she had such a long time to think about it with the walk. Too bad she couldn't drive, though. She was old enough, but she just... well actually she didn't mind walking all that much. It was good exercise, and she usually never found much of an excuse to go out anyways. What did one need a car for besides to show off and get places? Kaitlynn certainly could do without one, and besides, it polluted air! Absolutely horrid.

So that was why she preferred walking. Or biking. Really, she wasn't a nature freak, like some people, but you really ought to care for the planet some. Though she was sure that no one she knew would be at the beach, it looked as though someone was there. Certainly not a familiar face, however. But he looked around her age, give or take a few years.
